Duas for Love in Islam

In Islam, love and affection are best understood through faith, mercy, kindness and mutual respect. Muslims can ask Allah for a righteous spouse, a peaceful relationship and goodness in their family life.
A Quranic Dua for Goodness in Family Life
One beautiful supplication appears in Surah Al-Furqan, verse 74:
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Meaning: Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.
Reference: Quran 25:74.
How to Make Dua
- Turn to Allah with sincerity and humility.
- Praise Allah and send blessings upon Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
- Ask for what is good in this life and the Hereafter.
- Be patient and maintain trust in Allah.
- Respect the consent, dignity and choices of others.
Important Islamic Reminder
No supplication should be advertised as a guaranteed method to force someone to fall in love, return to a relationship or marry a particular person. Dua is worship, not a means of controlling another person’s will.
